The Twist

Posted on Updated on

She drifts alone down a path in life,

Fighting for each scrap.

In her loneliness she grabs the knife,

Thinking this life’s a wrap.

God has other plans for her,

A hero comes to her room.

The maid enters just in time,

She is saved by a mop and broom.

In a twist she never saw,

The maid becomes her friend.

And because she is lonely no more,

Her life doesn’t have to end.

The moral of the story is,

Though you may feel alone,

Just reaching out,

You can make a friend,

Go on, pick up the phone.
