I am one of those people that have a WILDLY active imagination. I love to read a good conspiracy story but lately I find that I am having a hard time deciding if some stories are really a conspiracy or a reality.
For example, this morning I read that the government is trying to buy up ammunition through agencies such as the U.S. Post Office, the Social Security Administration, the Department of Education, and even NOAA who oversees the National Weather Service.
Does that even make sense? For an administration (President Obama’s) who is anti-gun, anti-ammo why would the recommendation be to buy up extra ammo? The conspiracy side of me says, “To take away the option of buying from the regular consumer,” thereby cleaning the streets of the country through quieter means than making a law taking away our right to bear arms.
The reality side says that while it looks kind of silly, maybe the government is just trying to boost their own defense in case of an attack. But since it is primarily the school systems being hit by the crazies wouldn’t it make more sense for just the Dept. of Education to be buying defensive equipment? I don’t really know but it sure makes for an interesting read!
