Storms in the Night

Posted on Updated on

~ Storms in the Night ~

The ominous ring,

Of the tolling bell.

Signifying the beginning,

Of the waters swell.

The ships are out,

The night is come.

The time is now,

To sway the sun.

A sailors cry,

As the winds begin.

A ships strength,

Depends on them.

A moments pause,

Will end in death.

No time to stop,

And take a breath.

They push on,

Throughout the night.

Begging for life,

Quaking in fright,

Alas morning arises,

Like a beacon of hope.

The clouds have lifted,

The storm has broke.

As the waves peak in dismay,

The sailors welcome another day.
