Wildfire in Texas Panhandle

Posted on Updated on

A fire broke out Sunday afternoon in southern Texas that has since caused the evacuation of 1,300 homes and has resulted in one death – due to a heart attack.  The fire is 75% contained at this point but Lake Meredith is still under a full evacuation, no one in or out.  The estimated figure of people who have left the area is about 2,100.

The footage of the area looks pretty wicked so keep these people in your prayers as they are going to have to go through a long process to recuperate from such devastation.
